Nouveau French BistroThe quartier du Petit-Montrouge is number 55 of the 80 quartiers administratifs(administrative districts) in Paris. It lies in the 14th Arrondissement, in the south of the capital. It owes its name to the adjacent commune of Montrouge, of which it formed a part before 1860. It is familiar as the quartier Alésia, from the name of a street that bisects it and from the principal Métro station that serves it, although the quartier Alésia does not exactly overlap the quartier du Petit-Montrouge.

The Inspiration
Having fallen in love with gastronomy of French culture we were fuelled by a new appreciation of the worldwide influences on French cuisine, believing it to be a rich infusion of tastes from continental Europe, Middle East, East Asia, Africa and elsewhere. French cuisine evolved through the strife and heartache of the revolution, conflict, world wars, cold wars. Food possesses an enormous power as a human love language. Nothing says Love more than creation and commune in high quality food. Having travelled to France for over 25 years and visiting all regions of the land from Paris to Montpellier we also understood the cultural exchange of cuisine between French regions. Our passion is not only the goodness of food but the greater good of sharing these experiences by bring It home to Africa. We thank our many French friends, staff, bloggers, critiques and suppliers for helping us deliver the cuisine & the ambience that really gives that authentic nouveau French feeling.
